Happy 4th Birthday, Addalyn Renee!

Has it been 4 years already? It just doesn't seem possible. Addalyn's been so confused as to why she was still 3 after having a birthday party. This morning she woke up and asked Nana, "NOW am I 4"? Nana said "YES!" so she ran into my room and looked in the mirror and said "no I'm not, I don't look any bigger!". I love it! Tonight was her first night of dance and she did awesome. Followed all the directions and looked like extra cute in her dance attire. Here are a few pictures...

We can't get enough "Justin Fever" around our house these days! Addy and Mace can both sing the entire beginning to "Baby". We listen to it daily. Addalyn comes up with new dance moves each time! I finally got her enrolled in a summer dance class so let's see how she dances in 4 weeks. Between baseball on Monday nights and dance on Wednesdays, our summer is going to fly by!
PS--this is the outfit she wore to the sitter's on this day. I argued with her for a few minutes that morning but decided it wasn't worth it. She loves her "single ladies outfit"!

The Addalyn and The Macey Flowers!

For Mother's Day this year, Patty and the girls picked out these beautiful Azalea plants to put in front of the house. Addalyn is sitting next to the Addalyn plant and Macey is next to the Macey plant. Macey's is a little smaller and has some catching up to do! We water them daily and I'll continue to take their pictures in front of them as they (the flowers and my babies!) continue to grow. :-)

Macey Is Officially Potty Trained!

Two and a half weeks ago, I picked Macey up from the babysitter's house and she informed me that Macey was wearing the same diaper I brought her in that morning...dry as can be! She decided on her own that she was ready to be a big girl and hasn't looked back since. I'm so very proud of my sweet angel, but I have to admit...it makes me so sad that my BABY is out of diapers (except for night time, of course!). Where's the pause button on life?! They're growing too quickly!

Friday Entertainment :-)

Here is Addalyn's American Idol audition. She's so talented...even writes her own music. Think she'd be in the bottom 3 this week...?

Also, any grandparents that need a birthday gift idea...I'm thinking a kiddy karaoke machine would be a HIT! She seems content singing into this basketball pump, but I have no doubt that she'd get hours of enjoyment singing into a real microphone.

*side note: earplugs for Mommy are a must :-)

Addy Renee was such a big helper and actually power washed my car at Papa's house last night! I'm so glad I captured her first attempt on video because the power of the spray kept knocking her off balance. It's pretty powerful!

First Concert!

Friday night we headed to Parkville to check out a fantastic 80's cover band, The Zeroes. At first, the girls were pretty timid and stayed close, but by the end of the night, Addalyn was on part of the stage dancing! They did not stop running, dancing, and spinning for 2 hours straight.

Could She Be Any Cuter?!?

This morning was our first really smooth morning of hair fixing and mommy was even on time to work! :-) I walked in on Addalyn sitting on my bed flipping her shorter, sassier hair all around and grinning from ear to ear (watching herself in the mirror, of course). The best part is, it actually looked fixed when she woke up (and not at all like it does in this first picture here, yikes). Either way, she's a beautiful, beautiful girl, long hair or short!

My Mini-Me

I had to bring the little ladies with me this weekend to meet a patient at the office to fix his braces. Addalyn and Macey sat there completely silent and watched my every move. I walked the little guy up front to talk to his guardian and came back to Addalyn playing "dental assistant" and Mace being the wonderful patient.

My Baby Is A Belly Dancer!

Not sure if you all are aware of this or not, but even before Miss Addy Renee turned one, she had a special talent of rolling her belly. I've tried but all I can do is suck my belly in and stick it back out. Addalyn can really roll hers! I may need to get another video of it because she kept bending over in this one and it's kinda hard to see...but I think you'll get the idea.

Speechless

While getting ready a couple of weeks ago, I happened to peek out and see Addalyn watching herself in the mirror and, uh...dancing?!? No clue where she learned these moves but my favorite part would have to be the end where she awkwardly lifts her arm up in the air. This is all I got before my camera died. :-)

Sweet Dreams

Here are a few sweet pictures of my sleeping babies. Addalyn's starting to skip naps these days so it makes me appreciate the sweetness of Macey while she sleeps even more. So peaceful...

Best Friends

I tend to capture the good times on film more than the bad, so don't let these sweet sisterly photos fool you...they're not always best friends! Addalyn is like a little mommy to Macey when they play though so she helped her ride her bike and likes to put her in that tiny playpen and feed her a baby bottle. Mace loves it as much as Addy does and it's always entertaining (and heartwarming) for me!
