February Fun

I have a few random pictures I've taken in the past couple weeks I thought I'd share. The first one is Macey wearing some Harley Davidson goggles at Nana's work. She looks so silly!
Then we have the girls playing on the Noggin website. Addalyn is REALLY good at recognizing her letters!
You'll notice Macey missing at the dinner table in the next picture, she was throwing a massive fit in her bedroom at the time. :-)
Can't say that Sterling never taught Addalyn anything. Thumb sucking is job security for me though. She'll need braces someday!
And the last picture is just one I snapped of the girls playing together so sweetly. Addalyn was the mommy, Macey was the sister and the baby dolls were...well, the babies!

Mission NOT Accomplished

Potty training is no fun. It's like an emotional roller coaster! One day I'm convinced that Mace finally gets it and she'll make it through the day with few accidents. And then there are mornings like this one...where she's gone through 3 pair of panties and then throws a fit when I try to put a diaper on her. Dang this baby and her sweetness though. She sure makes it hard to be upset with her!

I've been meaning to video the kiddos playing this game for a while now. Great Grandma Betty got it for them for Christmas. They have SO much fun playing it and always manage to wear themselves out in the process. It's great! They usually end up fighting over it so I have to put it away, but not before they both run, jump and march out all their energy before bedtime!

Macey Singing Alicia Keys

Macey has the sweetest little voice. Especially when she sings Alicia Keys, "No One". For those who can't tell what she's saying it's..."No one, no one, no one, can get in the way of what I'm feeling". Repeat that line 3 times and you have Macey's version of the song!

Gym Rats

I took the girls up to Oskaloosa this past weekend to watch "Coach Daddy at basketball". The game wasn't terribly entertaining, but Addalyn and Macey still managed to have a great time! Their favorite part is always running up and down the court after the game. I guess it makes sitting still for 2 hours on bleachers totally worth it! Luckily, Penn won. Macey got bored and decided to make the players chairs into a swing for herself and then wanted to chat with daddy with only seconds left on the clock. :-)

Sunday Chores

I snuck into the girls room the other night and snapped a couple pictures of them sleeping (I'm going to pretend like I don't sneak in there often to watch them sleep...). Macey is the wildest sleeper ever! I'm starting to question whether or not I should have taken her out of her crib since she's still all over the place. I was woken up to a loud "thud" and her screaming and crying the other night. I ran in to get her but didn't see her anywhere. She actually rolled off the FOOT of her bed (guess I should put a bed rail there too?!?) and was wedged down between the foot of hers and Addalyn's bed. She was still half asleep too. Anywho, once we were up and around, it was chore time! The girls were mommy's big helpers all morning and washed some windows, the kitchen tables, and swept the floors. They each earned some change for their piggy banks and were thrilled about it (I've made the mistake of feeling generous by giving them a quarter and then having to hear about how it's not enough--apparently in the eyes of my little ones, 3 pennies is a LOT better than 1 quarter!).

Happy 1st Birthday, Cousin Hannah!

I can't believe that this sweet baby is already 1 year old! She was so perfect and happy for her birthday party and Addalyn and Macey almost had her walking (ummmm...maybe running would be more accurate). Addy helped baby Hannah open her gifts and then Macey, Addy and Trevor all enjoyed playing with them.

The Newest Additions

Brooke and LeAnn both had their sweet baby boys in December. They're just as perfect and precious as can be! We decided to brave the chaos and get all 6 kids together for a play date recently. Needless to say, the time I spend with Jill, Brooke and LeAnn just isn't what it used to be. We had a great time though!

CHRISTMAS!

We had a wonderful 2009 Christmas (even though the girls got SUPER spoiled!). I think Addalyn was expecting more from Santa than she got, but I guess she had better get used to it. Santa got them a house this year! :-)
The girls got tons of toys, some awesome bedroom decor and plenty of books and such. Thanks to all the relatives for making Christmas so fun for my little munchkins!

More Stacey Talk

Addalyn's imaginary friend Stacey is back, and apparently she has the flu! I keep hearing stories about Stacey and her darn sickness and wedding, and babysitting adventures. These girls are just pure entertainment.

Macey's 1st Dental Appointment (on her 2nd birthday!)

My little birthday princess had a super special Perkins breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes...and then she was off to the dentist for a cleaning! I was very unsure as to how she'd do, but she ended up making me so very proud. She did AWESOME for a 2 year old! She kept asking "again? more floss! again?". Addalyn did fantastic also and they both checked out with beautiful teeth and no cavities. Yay!
